Electronically typed statement issued by the Palestine Centre [2014], f. 1. In this public statement the Palestinian Centre condemns the raiding of a Palestinian television studio in East Jerusalem and forced shut down of the television programme Sabah Al-Khair Ya Quds (Good morning Jerusalem) in June 2014. The Palestinian Centre calls for support from the UN and international writer’s organisations to restore freedom for journalists and media outlets in Palestine to excersise their responsibility as “truth defenders”.

En esta declaración pública, el Centro Palestino condemna el saqueo de un estudio de televisión palestino en Jerusalén Este, y el cierre forzado del programa de televisión Sabah Al-Khair Ya Quds (Buenos días, Jerusalén), en junio de 2014. El Centro Palestino pide el apoyo de la ONU y de organizaciones internacionales de escritores para restaurar la libertad de los periodistas y los medios de comunicación en Palestina, para poder ejercer sus responsabilidades como «defensores de la verdad».
