International guests at Palestinian Centre events

Two photographs of PEN members at events organised and held by the Palestinian Centre. The photograph above shows Hanan Awwad, president of the Palestinian Centre (1992-), seated second from the right, beside Lucina Kathmann, former president of the San Miguel de Allende Centre, vice-president emerita of PEN International (2003-) and chair of PEN International’s Women Writers Committee (1996-2003), at the end on the right. The photograph below shows guests seated during a meal. These photographs were most likely taken during the Palestinian Centre’s 4^th International Poetry Festival, which took place in Jerusalem, Ramallah, Bethlehem and Hebron 26-30 September 1997. This event, which promoted Palestinian literature, drew together poets and writers from countries including India, Sweden, and South Africa.

Estas fotografías fueron tomadas probablemente durante el 4^o Festival internacional de poesía del Centro Palestino, celebrado en Jerusalén, Ramala, Belén y Hebron del 26 al 30 de septiembre de 1997.
