Cegerxwîn Cultural Centre

Photograph of workers installing the name of the Cegerxwîn Kültür Merkezi (Cegerxwîn Cultural Centre) on the Centre’s building in Diyarbakir-Amed in 2014. This Centre was named after the Kurdish poet Cegerxwîn, and, in In July 2017, Turkish authorities ordered its name be changed to 15 July National Cultural Centre, as part of a crackdown on Kurdish free expression. The Centre eventually reverted back to its original name.

El Centro volvió a adoptar su nombre original posteriormente.
