Ensaf Haidar talks at the 81^st Congress

The title of the Congress was Translation = Creation = Freedom. Badawi was arrested in 2012, in Saudi Arabia, for insulting Islam and later sentenced to ten years of prison, 1000 lashes and a fine. Due to Badawi’s poor health, however, the sentence was never fully carried away. Ensaf Haidar took refuge in Canada with the couple’s three children and has campaigned for Badawi’s liberation ever since.
