This reading was organised by the Quebecois Centre’s Women Writers Committee whose members recited texts from the following women writers who had been, or still were, persecuted: Maya Angelou; Angye Gaona; Yara El-Ghadban; Hala Mohammad; Susana Romano Sued; Ceija Stojka; and Liu Xia.
