Concert on Lokrum Island

Photograph of musicians sitting beside a harpsichord on Lokrum Island, near Dubrovnik. This instrument was shipped onto the island for a concert that took place on 22 April 1993, during the 59^th PEN International Congress in Hvar/Dubrovnik, which was titled Place and Destiny. As well as putting on a concert to celebrate the opening of the Congress, Croatian Centre members and associates read from an anthology of Bosnia and Herzegovinan poetry, planted olive trees, and created a stone memorial to mark the occasion. Cet instrument avait été envoyé sur l'île pour un concert qui a eu lieu le 22 avril 1993, lors du 59^e Congrès de PEN International à Hvar/Dubrovnik, sous le titre Place and Destiny.
