Photograph of PEN members at a PEN Congress, with Argentinian Centre members seated at a table. Handwritten captions on the reverse side of the photograph note that amongst them are (from left to right): Manuel Gálvez, founder and first president of the Argentinian Centre; the Argentinian writer Antonio Aita; and the Argentininan writer Gustavo Martínez Zuviría, who is better known by his pen name, Hugo Wast. This photograph was most likely taken at the 14th PEN International Congress in Buenos Aires, which took place on 5-15 September 1936 at the Palacio de la Legislatura de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires.
