Tribute reading to Zehra Doğan

Photograph of a reading event organised by the Quebecois Centre and held in tribute to Kurdish writer, journalist and artist Zehra Doğan on 30 May 2019, at the Plateau-Mont-Royal Library, in Montréal. Doğan was arrested in 2016 and sentenced to more than two years of imprisonment, in 2017, for a painting where she drew turkish flags on top of destroyed buildings. She was released in February of 2019. Doğan fue detenida en 2016 y sentenciada a más dos años de prisión en 2017, por una pintura en la que dibujó dos banderas turcas colgando en edificios destrozados. Fue liberada en febrero de 2019.
