Celebrating 15 years of Livres comme l’Air

Photograph of a mural celebrating the 15 years of the collaborative event Livres comme l’Air, during the 81st PEN International Congress. Livres comme l’Air was a yearly event organized by the Quebecois Centre, Amnesty International, and the Union des écrivaines et écrivains du Québec (UNEQ), which raised awareness about persecuted writers by pairing them to Quebecois writers, who would then write them a letter and send them a personally selected and dedicated book. The 81st Congress of PEN International took place from 13 to 16 October 2015 in Quebec City, and was titled: Translation = Creation = Freedom.
