This event, which was organised by the Mexican Centre in collaboration with PEN International, was held at Casa Lamm in Mexico City on 29 January 2012, and was staged as a public demonstration of solidarity and a demand for accountability for the murders and disappearances of Mexican journalists. It was part of a longer campaign held in January 2012, during which PEN delegates met with activists and authorities and pushed for governmental action to protect journalists and freedom of expression in Mexico.
