Against the closure of LCF and CITY FM

Flyer shared on social media by the Togolese Centre on the 3 February 2017 denouncing the closure by the Haute autorité de l’audiovisuel et de la communication (HAAC) of the channels LCF and CITY FM, exploited by Groupe Sud Média, in Togo. The HAAC accused Groupe Sud Média of illegal exploitation of frequencies, but many civil society and human rights organisations maintained that the institution did not have the power to revoke the right to exploit a given frequency.

La HAAC accusait le Groupe Sud Média d'exploitation illégale de fréquences, mais plusieurs organisations de la société civile et des droits de la personnes affirmaient que l'institution n'avait pas le pouvoir de révoquer le droit d'utilisation d'un fréquence donnée.

La HAAC acusó el Groupe Sud Média de explotación ilegal de frecuencias, pero varias organizaciones civiles y por los derechos humanos argumentaron que la institución no tenía competencias sobre los derechos de explitación de frequencias.
