Invitation to the Constitutive General Assembly of the Togolese Centre, which took place on 13 February 2016, at the Centre culturel Hakuna Matata, in Lomé. The Centre was officially accepted later that year, during the General Assembly of Delegates at the 82^nd Congress of PEN International, which took place from 26 September to 2 October 2016, in Ourense.

Le Centre a été officiellement reconnu plus tard la même année, lors de l'Assemblée Générale des délégués au 82^e Congrès de PEN International, ayant eu lieu du 26 septembre au 2 octobre 2016, à Ourense.
