Palestinian Centre’s open letter to PEN

Electronically typed letter from Gharib Asqalani to PEN members, [Gaza], 2014; heading: «Palestinian PEN (World Association of Writers)», ff. 3. In this letter Asqalani, Palestinian writer and then co-ordinator of the Palestinian Centre, expresses the Palestinian Centre’s regret at not being able to attend the 80^th PEN International Congress in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, in 2014. Asqalani also thanks PEN International for their solidarity with the Centre and support in times of conflict in Gaza, and reaffirms their wish to hold their own Congress.

Carta mecanuscrita electrónicamente por Gharib Asqalani a los miembros de PEN, [Gaza], 2014; membrete: «Palestinian PEN (World Association of Writers)», ff. 3. En esta carta, Asqalani, escritor palestino entonces coordinador del Centro Palestino, lamenta que el Centro Palestino no pudiera asistir al 80^o Congreso de PEN Internacional en Bishkek, Kyrgyzstán, en 2014. Asqalani también agradece a PEN Internacional su solidaridad con el Centro y el apoyo en tiempos de conflicto en Gaza, y reafirma su voluntad de celebrar su propio Congreso.
