Photograph of PEN members gathered together during the 8th PEN International Congress in Warsaw, Poland, 20-25 June 1930. Among them are: Catharine Amy Dawson Scott, founder of PEN International, seated at the table and looking away from the camera; Ferdynand Goetel, president of the Polish Centre (1927-33), standing at the end on the right at the front; Arthur Lynch, Irish-Australian author, politician and member of the English Centre, standing to the left of Goetel; and Colly Barley-Scott, member of the English Centre, standing to the left of Lynch.
