Girona Manifesto on Linguistic Rights

Photograph of members at a meeting organised by the Catalan Centre and PEN International’s Translation and Linguistic Rights Committee, which took place on 11-13 May 2011 in Girona. At this meeting the Girona Manifesto on Linguistic Rights was developed – a ten point document designed to be translated and disseminated as a tool to defend linguistic diversity around the world. The Girona Manifesto was officially accepted at the 77^th PEN International Congress in Belgrade, on 12-18 September 2011, which was titled Literature – Language of the World.

Photographie des membres pendant une rencontre organisée par le Centre catalan et par le Comité de Traduction et Droits linguistiques de PEN International, qui a eu lieu les 11-13 mai 2011 à Gérone. Le Manifeste de Gérone sur les droits linguistiques fut élaboré lors de cette rencontre; un document en dix points conçu pour être traduit et disséminé à titre d'outil visant à défendre la diversité linguistique dans le monde. Le Manifeste de Gérone fut officiellement adopté au 77^e Congrès de PEN International à Belgrade, les 12-18 septembre 2011, qui était intitulé Literature – Language of the World.

Fotografía de los asistentes a un encuentro organizado por el Centro Catalán y el Comité de Traducción y Derechos Lingüísticos de PEN Internacional (TLRC, por sus siglas en inglés) que tuvo lugar del 11 al 13 de mayo de 2011 en Gerona. Durante este encuentro se desarrolló el Manifiesto de Girona sobre Derechos Lingüísticos, un documento de diez puntos diseñado para ser traducido y diseminado como una herramienta de defensa de la diversidad lingüística alrededor del mundo. EL Manifesto de Girona se aprobó oficialmente en el 77^o Congreso de PEN Internacional en Belgrado, del 12 al 18 de septiembre de 2011, titulado Literature – Language of the World.
