1978 International Conference

Among them, from left to right, are: Josep Palau i Fabre, president of the Catalan Centre (1976-79); Alexandre Blokh, international secretary of PEN International (1981-98); Josep Vicenç Foix, founding member of the Catalan Centre; and Mario Vargas Llosa, president of PEN International (1976-79). A relationship between PEN International and UNESCO was established at this conference, and the Catalan Centre’s Programme and Translation Committee was created.

PEN International et l'UNESCO ont pu tisser des liens au cours de cette conférence, et le Comité de programmation et de traduction du Centre catalan a vu le jour.
