First day cover of stamps designed by the French Centre to commemorate the 45th PEN International Congress in Lyon, France, 1981. The title of this Congress was Literature: Hope for a Crisis-Ridden World. This first day cover was contributed by Sylvestre Clancier, president (2005-12; 2016-17) former vice-president and president of honour of the French Centre.
