Front cover of Bulletin of Selected Books / Choix de notices critiques by PEN International, Vol. 6 no. 1 (March 1955). The coinciding of missions in areas of promoting literature, translation and freedom of expression made UNESCO PEN’s main sponsor in the 1950s. Starting in 1950, PEN International’s Bulletin of Selected Books offered an annual review of translations and books published in “languages of lesser currency”.

Cubierta de Bulletin of Selected Books / Choix de notices critiques, PEN International, Vol. 6 no. 1 (Marzo 1955). Las misiones compartidas en el campo de promoción de la literatura, la traducción y la libertad de expresión convirtieron en PEN en el principal promotor de la UNESCO en los 1950s. Desde 1950, el Bulletin of Selected Books de PEN Internacional, ofrecía un balance anual de traducciones y libros publicados en lenguas «lenguas de menor circulación».
