Swiss writers supporting Sarajevo
Press release by the Swiss German Centre titled Kulturbrücke nach Sarajevo (Cultural Bridge to Sarajevo), 14 February 1994, f. 1. This press release sought to gather 2,000 signatures to present to Flavio Cotti, member of the Federal Council (1986-99), in protest of the proposed partition of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Sarajevo during the Yugoslav War. The Centre particularly mentions their intention to continue supporting the “cultural bridge” they have established with writers from Sarajevo during writing exchanges, and pledges their enthusiasm for the city to become European Capital of Culture.
