Photograph of Trần Thanh Hiệp, president of the Vietnamese Abroad Centre (1984-88). During his presidency the writer and attorney Trần Thanh Hiệp expanded the Vietnamese Abroad Centre by bringing it to North America, with the first general election of the Centre’s Executive Board being held at a meeting held in Montreal, Canada, in 1989.
