Clement during the election panel

Photograph of a discussion panel during which the three candidates to the PEN International presidency were invited to introduce themselves and answer questions from the delegates. On the left, Émile Martel, president of the Quebecois Centre (2000-16), is directing the panel. Facing the camera, in the center of the photograph, is Jennifer Clement, president of the Mexican Centre (2009-12) and president of PEN International (2015-). Two other candidates participated to this panel: Zeynep Oral, president of Turkish Centre, and Vida Ognjenović, president of the Serbian Centre. This event took place during the 81st Congress of PEN International which took place from 13 to 16 October 2015 in Quebec City. The title of the Congress was Translation = Creation = Freedom. Clement was ultimately elected president during this Congress.

Cet événement s'est tenu lors du 81e Congrès du PEN International, qui a eu lieu du 13 au 16 octobre 2015, à Québec. Le titre de ce Congrès était Translation = Creation = Freedom. Clement a finalement remporté les élections et été élue présidente lors de ce Congrès.
