Raided inner room of Kurdish Centre

Photograph of the raided and damaged interior room of the Kurdish Centre. On 2 February 2016, the offices of the Kurdish Centre in Sur Amed-Diyarbakir, were attacked and raided. This took place during a time of national emergency in Turkey, when freedom of expression was critically compromised and Kurdish literary institutions and writers became targets of attack. This photograph was most likely taken by a member of the Kurdish Centre around that time.

Fotografía de una habitación del Centro Kurdo completamente dañada y saqueada. El 2 de Febrero de 2016 las oficinas del Centro Kurdo situadas en Sur Amed, Diyarbakir, fueron atacadas y saqueadas. Esto tuvo lugar durante la época en la que hubo emergencia nacional en Turquía, cuando muchas instituciones literarias fueron cerradas, escritores fueron perseguidos, y la libertad de expresión fue críticamente comprometida.
