PEN dinner in New York
Photograph of an early literary gala held by the American Centre (referred to here as The PEN Club) on 25 November [1930] at the Commodore Hotel (now the Grand Hyatt) in New York. A handwritten caption in the bottom right hand corner of the photograph notes that this dinner was dedicated to Sinclair Lewis, the first American writer to recieve the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1930.
