The Pulitzer Prize winning writer William De Witt Snodgrass, known as “Dee” to friends, lived in San Miguel de Allende for a number of years. This photograph was taken by Lucina Kathmann, vice-president emerita and treasurer of the San Miguel de Allende Centre, vice-president emerita of PEN International and chair of PEN International’s Women Writers Committee (1996-2000).
