A refined man of letters whose native language was English (his mother, Lillian Vernon, was American), 21-year-old Lauro De Bosis was the first to pick up Catharine Amy Dawson Scott’s message. De Bosis founded PEN Club Italia in 1922, one year after English PEN was founded, together with Tommaso Gallarati Scotti, Enzo Torrieri, Corrado Govoni and Filippo Tommaso Marinetti, the most well-known member of the group.

Fin lettré de langue maternelle anglaise (sa mère Lilion Vernon était américaine), Lauro de Bosis, 21 ans, fut l’un des premiers à être sensible au message de Catherine Amy Dawson-Scott. En 1922, un an après l’Angleterre, De Bosis fonde le PEN italien avec Tommaso Gallarati Scotti, Enzo Torrieri, Corrado Govoni et Filippo Tommaso Marinetti, membre le plus connu du groupe.

Tras el literato de lengua materna inglesa (la madre Lilion Vernon era estadounidense), Lauro De Bosis, con 21 años, fue uno de los primeros en acoger el mensaje de Catharine Amy Dawson-Scott. En 1922, un año después de la creación del Centro PEN Inglés, De Bosis funda el PEN Italiano en colaboración con Tommaso Gallarati Scotti, Enzo Torrieri, Corrado Govoni y Filippo Tommaso Marinetti, el más célebre del grupo.
