Lazare Eloundou Assomo, Director of Culture and Emergencies in the Culture Sector of UNESCO (2016-), can be seen sitting second from the left. This event was organised by the Malian Centre in collaboration with UNESCO, the Ministry of Culture of Mali, and several educational centres. On this day, the Malian Centre opened seventeen arts and literature clubs in schools across the country.
