Invitation to a conference titled Un Cuarto Propio, which took place at the Instituto Nicaragüense de Cultura Hispánica (INCH) in Managua on 18 November 2015. This event was co-organised by the Nicaraguan Centre with support from Agencia Española de Cooperación Internacional para el Desarrollo (AECID), and featured writers who discussed Virginia Woolf’s seminal essay A Room of One’s Own, including Gioconda Belli, president of the Nicaraguan Centre (2013-); Madeline Mendieta, treasurer of the Nicaraguan Centre (2015-); and the Nicaraguan journalist Sofía Montenegro.
