Photograph of the Nobel laureate Toni Morrison, member of the American Centre and vice-president of PEN International, on a flyer (known as ‘postcards’ in PEN campaigns) created by the American Centre. This postcard was created to commemorate Morrison, who was a long-time member of the American Centre. In 2019 the Turkish Centre chose to celebrate Morrison as part of their Book of the Month programme in August 2019, alongside the Turkish screenwriter Umur Bugay, who also passed away in 2019.
