Swedish Centre’s letter-writing session

Among them is Eugene Schoulgin, second from the right, member of the Norwegian and Swedish Centres, president of the Writers in Prison Committee (2000-04), international secretary (2007-10) and vice-president of PEN International (2004-). PEN started the annually observed Day of the Imprisoned Writer in 1981, marking 15 November as a day on which writers, readers and PEN members around the world come together to stand in solidarity with writers in prison and at risk.
