Romanian Centre’s 4^th Regional Conference

The title of this conference was European PEN Centres: Arguments for a Future Europe. Among them are: Romulus Rusan, kneeling in the centre, member of the Romanian Centre; Ana Blandiana, founder of the reconstituted Romanian Centre in 1990 and the Centre’s president (1990-2004) and honorary president (2004-), standing just right of Rusan and wearing red; Magda Cârneci, president of the Romanian Centre (2011-), fifth from the right; Nicolae Manolescu, literary critic and member of the Romanian Centre, at the end on the left; and Casimiro de Brito, second from the left, founding member and president of the Portuguese Centre (1990-2009).
