Photograph of Ram Kumar Panday, Nepali geographer, author, poet, satirist, and president of the Nepalese Centre (2008-). Panday is considered to be a leading figure in the study of Nepalese geography, having conducted fieldwork in mountain ranges of Nepal which led to new discoveries in the studies of altitude. Separately, Panday was awarded a lifetime achievement award for his world in creative humour literature, and was the founder and president of the Humour and Satire Society of Nepal (HaSaNe).
