Rafting down the Dunajec river

Photograph of PEN delegates being punted down the Dunajec river gorge in the Pieniny National Park in Poland. This excursion to the Pieniny and Tatra Mountains was a conclusion to an intricate five-day itinerary that took place for the 8^th PEN International Congress in Warsaw, Poland, 20-25 June 1930. This Congress was attended by over one-hundred guests from over twenty-seven countries. This photograph was contributed by the Narodowe Archiwum Cyfrowe (National Digital Archives) of Poland.
