Romanian PEN, an NGO uniting writers, editors and translators, is the Romanian branch of PEN International, the oldest and widest writers’ association in the world. Ever since it was founded in 1921, PEN International has attempted to bring humanistic-minded authors together around values such as freedom of expression and human rights, uniting them in a European and – after WWII – global network, so far made up of 152 Centres in more than 100 countries.

Centre roumain
