Ismaïla Samba Traoré is the former president of the Union des écrivans Maliens (Union of Malian Writers) (1984-88). He was the founder and former secretary general of the short-lived Union des poètes et écrivains africains (Union of African Poets and Writers) in Grand Bassam, Côte d’Ivoire, in 1985.

Ismaila Samba Traoré est ancien président de l’Union des écrivains maliens (1984-1988).  Il est fondateur et ancien secrétaire général, à Grand Bassam en Côte d’Ivoire en 1985 de l’éphémère UPEA (Union des poètes et écrivains africains).

Ismaïla Samba Traoré fue presidente de la Union des écrivans Maliens  (Unión de escritores de Mali) (1984-88). Fue Secretario General y fundador de la efímera UPEA (Unión de Poetas y Escritores Africanos) en Grand Bassam (Costa de Marfil) en 1985.
