Bangladesh PEN proudly represents PEN International, which was founded in 1921 to promote friendship and understanding, and to unite writers and journalists all over the world. The history of Bangladesh PEN goes back to the Pakistan era. Pakistan PEN was established in 1948, and after Bangladesh became independent, Pakistan PEN was transformed into Bangladesh PEN in 1972.

Le PEN bangladais est fier de représenter PEN International, organisation fondée en 1921 pour promouvoir l’amitié, la compréhension et l’union entre écrivains et journalistes du monde entier. L’histoire du PEN bangladais remonte à l’époque où la région faisait encore partie du Pakistan.
