Video of a protest event held by PEN International and the Mexican Centre at Casa Lamm in Mexico City on 29 January 2012, titled PEN Protesta!. This event was staged as a public display of solidarity and a demand for accountability for the murders and disappearances of journalists in Mexico, and was part of a longer campaign held in January 2012 during which PEN delegates met with activists and authorities to push for action to protect freedom of expression from the Mexican government. Those seen speaking in the video include John Ralston Saul, president of PEN International (2009-15); the Mexican poet and writer Eduardo Lizalde; Hori Takeaki, secretary (2010-16) and vice-president of PEN International (2016-); Elena Poniatowska, member of the Mexican Centre and vice-president of PEN International (2019-); and Víctor Sahuatoba, vice-president emeritus of the San Miguel de Allende Centre.
