Palestinian Centre’s literary gatherings

Two photographs of PEN members gathered together for literary events organised by the Palestinian Centre. The photograph above shows a group including Hanan Awwad, president of the Palestinian Centre (1992-), who can be seen kneeling in the middle of the front row. This photograph was most likely taken when PEN members met for the 1^st Nordic-Palestinian Poetry Festival, which took place on 23-25 September 1994 in Jerusalem, Jericho, and Gaza City. The photograph below shows a member from the Swedish Centre speaking at the 6^th International Poetry Festival in Palestine, which took place in Jerusalem, Nablus and Bethlehem on 1-4 October 1999.

Dos fotografías de miembros de PEN en eventos literarios organizados por el Centro Palestino. La fotografía superior muestra un grupo de asistentes entre los que se encuentra Hanan Awwad, presidenta del Centro Palestino (1992-), arrodillada en el centro de la primera fila. Esta fotografía fue tomada problamente cuando miembros de PEN se encontraron en el marco del 1^er Festival de poesía nórdica-palestina, que tuvo lugar del 23 al 25 de septiembre de 1994 en Jerusalén, Jericó y ciudad de Gaza. La fotografía inferior muestra un miembro del Centro Sueco hablando durante el 6^o Festival internacional de poesía palestina, que tuvo lugar en Jerusalén, Nablus y Belén del 1 al 4 de octubre de 1999.
