At this event the Ukranian filmmaker Oleg Sentsov was in conversation with Natalia Koliada (end on the left), director of the Belarus Free Theatre, and the British playwright David Lan before a screening of the documentary The Trial: The State of Russia vs Oleg Sentsov. Sentsov, who was imprisoned in May 2014 for protesting the annexation of Crimea and spent more than five years of detention in a penal colony, can be seen here receiving over 150 letters sent to him whilst in prison from Carles Torner, executive director of PEN International (2014-20) and chair of the Translation and Linguistic Rights Committee (1996-2002).
