Najmeh Mousavi
Photograph of Najmeh Mousavi, member of the Iranian Centre in Exile. Mousavi was born in Tehran and now lives in France. She received a PhD in Sociology from Shiraz University and received a second PhD in European Development Projects Engineering from Sorbonne University in Paris. Alongside working as a senior advisor in engineering, Mousavi also teaches the history of gender discrimination and secularism in France. Mousavi’s works include a series of short stories titled Forgetting, and two collections of poetry that have received awards in France. Mousavi has collaborated with Persian as well as French publications, and has been a regular journalist at Arash magazine. Mousavi has also translated work from French and English to Persian, including A Room of One’s Own by Virginia Woolf.
