Group photograph at the 2nd writer’s colloquium

Photograph of participants of the 2nd Colloque International des Écrivains, Journalistes et Communicateurs Traditionnels, which was organised by the Malian Centre and Movement Malivaleurs and held at Hôtel Massaley in Bamako from 29 November to 2 December 2016. Among them are: Sidi Alamine Ag Doho, Malian writer, end on the left; Lamia Berrada-Berca, French-Moroccan writer and journalist, second from the left; Alix Parodi, secretary general and treasurer (2016-21) and president of the Suisse-Romand Centre (2021-), third from the left; Ismaïlia Samba Traoré, president of the Malian Centre (2015-), third from the right on the front row (behind the man in silver); and Cecilia Balcázar, Board member of PEN International (2002-05; 2006-09), president (1996-2006) and president emerita of the Colombian Centre, segond from the right, next to Traoré. The theme of this colloquium was “The rise of violent extremism as a threat to the state, social cohesion, rights and freedoms”.
