From left to right are: Barama Koné from the University of Law and Political Science of Bamako; Alix Parodi, secretary general and treasurer (2016-21) and president of the Suisse-Romand Centre (2021-); Daouda Tékété, Malian journalist; Khady Mint Cheikhna, president of the Mauritanian Centre; and Bruno Doti-Sanou, writer from Burkina Faso. The theme of this colloquium was “The rise of violent extremism as a threat to the state, social cohesion, rights and freedoms” and this particular panel event took place on its second day, 30 November 2016.
