Translation and Linguistic Rights Committee

The Translations and Linguistic Rights Committee (TLRC) was founded at the 43rd PEN International Congress in Stockholm, in 1978. Heir to the various PEN agreements with UNESCO to promote literary translations in a systematic way, its primary function was to promote translations from rarely translated languages into major international languages.

Comité de traduction et les droits linguistiques

Le Comité de Traduction et Droits linguistiques (TLRC) a vu le jour lors du 43Congrès du PEN International à Stockholm, en 1978. Héritage des différents accords conclus par le PEN avec l’Organisation des Nations Unies pour l’éducation, la science et la culture (UNESCO) en vue de stimuler la traduction systématique des littératures, sa première fonction a été de promouvoir les traductions de langues peu traduites vers d’autres langues de référence internationale.

Comité de Traducción y Derechos Lingüísticos

El Comité de Traducciones y Derechos Lingüísticos (TLRC) vio la luz en el 43º Congreso Internacional de PEN de 1978 en Estocolmo. Heredero de los diversos acuerdos de PEN con UNESCO para impulsar las traducciones literarias de manera sistemática, su primera función fue promover traducciones desde lenguas poco traducidas a otras de referencia internacional.
