This photograph was taken on 14 June 2018 at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, when the European Parliament adopted the European Parliament resolution of 14 June 2018 on Russia, notably the case of Ukrainian political prisoner Oleg Sentsov, asking for Sentsov to be released, and human rights to be upheld in Russia. Sentsov was finally released on 7 September 2019.
