Establishing the Melbourne Centre, 1938
Administrative document titled “The P.E.N. World Association of Writers: Melbourne Centre”, containing minutes taken at a meeting held by the Melbourne Centre at the Holly Tea Rooms in Melbourne on 10 October 1938, f. 1. At this meeting, the Melbourne Centre passed a resolution that officially established them as an active PEN Centre, and also published a set of Centre rules. A committee for the Centre was formed, with Leonard Mann elected to be the first president.
