Culture’s Oxygen report

Cover, inner cover, contents page and preface of a PEN report titled Culture’s Oxygen, 2016, ff. 4. This report, which was launched on 21 February 2017 to mark International Mother Language Day, set out to examine the conditions for minority language creative writing industries in Kenya, Haiti, Serbia and Nigeria. It was written by Simona Škrabec, chair of Translation and Linguistic Rights Committee (2014-20), with a preface by Ngũgĩ wa Thiong’o.
