This extract from a larger article announces a conference promoting and championing women’s writing, which was organised by the Women’s Committee of PEN Bolivia and took place in Cochabamba on 8-10 December 1997. The Bolivian writer Eduardo Mitre and Gaby Vallejo, co-founder and president of the Committee of Women Writers of PEN Bolivia, both feature in the article and are pictured beside it.
