Celebrating Yiddish at Basha wari
Photograph of participants holding a sign to champion Yiddish at Bhasha wari, a procession in which the words ‘Truth, Freedom, Diversity’ were presented in 6,000 languages on signs to celebrate global languages. PEN delegates joined this procession whilst in India for the 84th PEN International Congress in Pune, which was held on 25-29 September 2018 and titled Experiments with Truth: Freedom, Truth, and Diversity.
