Board members in Venice

Photograph of Croatian Centre Board members in Venice before boarding a ship to travel to the 59th PEN International Congress in Hvar/Dubrovnik, 1993. This Congress, which took place on 19-24 April and whose title was Place and Destiny, held symbolic meaning both as a union during a time of rising tensions in Bosnia and Herzegovina and as a commemoration of a Congress that had taken place in Dubrovnik sixty years earlier, in 1933. From left to right are: Nikica Petrak; Slobodan Novak, then president of the Croatian Centre; Tonko Maroević; Giga Grača; Višnja Machiedo; and Vjera Čičin Šain.
