Photograph of the audience at a literary event and awards ceremony that took place during the Malian Centre’s celebrations for World Book Day, which took place in Bamako on 23 April 2016. Kadiatou Konaré, writer, editor and Malian Minister for Culture (2020-), can be seen seated at the end on the right of the front row. This event was organised by the Malian Centre in collaboration with UNESCO, the Ministry of Culture of Mali, and several educational centres. On this day, the Malian Centre opened seventeen arts and literature clubs in schools across the country.
