Article announcing the Centre’s first seminar

Article titled “Escritores buscan proyectar obras literarias al exterior”, published by ABC Color, on 29 October 2009. This article announces the Paraguayan Centre’s first international seminar, which was titled Función Social de la Literatura en Paraguay. This seminar took place on 30-31 October 2009 and was held at the Sala Seminario Branislava Susnik of the Centro Paraguayo Japonés in Asunción. Alongisde the Paraguayan writers and academics who attended the event were Lily Tuck, member of the American Centre; Tracy K. Lewis, professor at the State University of New York at Oswego; Óscar Arze Quintanilla, writer and historian from Bolivia; and Miguel Ángel Andrade, writer and journalist from Mexico. A photograph of Emi Kasamatsu, president of the Centre (2007-12; 2017-19), accompanies the article, just below the title – alongside photographs of the other Uruguayan writers who participated.

Artículo titulado "Escritores buscan proyectar obras literarias al exterior", publicado por ABC Color, el 29 de octubre de 2009. Este artículo anuncia el primer seminario internacional organizado por el Centro Paraguayo, titulado Función Social de la Literatura en Paraguay. Se celebró del 30 al 31 de octubre de 2009 en la Sala Seminario Branislava Susnik del Centro Paraguayo Japonés, en Asunción. Junto a los notables escreitores y académicos que asistieron al acto, estuvieron Lily Tuck, miembro del Centro Estadounidense; Tracy K. Lewis, profesora de la Universidad Estatal de Nuevo York, Oswego; Óscar Arze Quintanilla, escritor e historiador de Bolivia; y Miguel Ángel Andrade, escritor y periodista de México. Junto al artículo, debajo del titular, hay una fotografía de Emi Kasamatsu, presidenta del Centro (2007-12; 2017-19), y pueden verse otras fotografías de los escritores paraguayos que participaron.
